JD Davis

Coach JD began coaching with HHA 3 years ago. He has coached numerous teams and assists where he is needed. As a kid/teen he played all the sports, he loved them and enjoys coaching others and helping them to grow a love for sports as well.

JD has 8 children, his oldest is finishing her first year of college now and helping to design a volleyball organization within Mercy Street in Dallas. She is the one who helped their family to grow a strong love for volleyball and now 3 of their other children play as well.

JD served in the Army for 14 years as a Civil Affairs Sergeant and has had two tours to Iraq in 2004 and 2007. He loves the Lord Jesus Christ and seeks to serve Him in all that he does, serving his family, his church and his community as he can.

JD is excited to serve in his fourth season at HHA and helps with many of the things that helps it to function and go smoothly since he is also husband to the Director Lorie. They love being able to serve together in a sport they both love and that the whole family has grown to love over the years.

Liz Pollock

Coach Liz is excited to bring her love of volleyball to the HHA coaching staff. She is passionate about developing solid fundamentals through positive and encouraging coaching.

She believes that to have fun playing at a high level, you need to have exceptional technique, a positive attitude, great teamsmanship, a strong work ethic and a love for the game. She aims to instill these values in all the players she coaches.

Coach Liz played Division I volleyball on a full athletic scholarship at Rice University. While at Rice, she was named to the All-Academic Team for the Western Athletic Conference each year, and was selected to the All-Tournament Team at a tournament hosted by the University of Wisconsin in Fall 2000 (the year Wisconsin went on to win the NCAA Division I championship). In her high school athletic career in the Washington, DC area, Liz was named to numerous All-Metropolitan & All-County teams, as well as Player of the Year for both volleyball and basketball. She also led her high school volleyball team to an undefeated season and Maryland state championship her senior year. She was recruited by numerous Division I Universities across the country for both basketball and volleyball. Liz has coached volleyball at the community college and junior high club level, and previously coached summer camps at American University and Rice University. She’s excited for a second season at HHA.
